Robert McGowan writes:

My uncle, Bob McGowan, died in Italy 17.11.1944.  He is buried in Ancona cemetery.

A fellow crew member, F.O. John Barber (181129), navigator,  was also buried in Ancona.

I would appreciate any further details, particularly as I believe that there were some survivors of the crash.
