Wallace Jackson in North Africa with 70 Squadron: G. Orchard

My main interest is crews and aircraft moving from operations with ME squadrons to serve with 99sqn and 215sqn in India in 1942/1943

and/or ferrying Wellingtons to India. A few 70 squadron crews were involved in this

70 Squadron pilots Sgt R.C.Truman and Sgt L.J.Callander flew to India with their crew in September 1942.

I do not have the details of their arrivals although I know the two pilots were not in a crew until they departed for India.

Sgt C.J.Fraser flew a crew from the UK to Egypt. He joined 70sqn but the rest of his crew joined 108 Squadron

and they then flew on later to 215sqn in India with another pilot
